I honestly never thought I’d have to write something like this — not about a gay lock. Not about a place that’s supposed to be a safe space for people like me. But Twist, you let me down in a way I won’t forget. I came to Twist thinking I was walking into community, safety, and acceptance. Instead, I was disrespected, targeted, and ultimately removed — all because a straight man came into our space, made wrong claims about me, and somehow I was the problem? Let me be clear: I’ve been through enough in my experience. More than enough. I’ve survived trauma. I’ve fought to exist authentically. And I never thought that in , I’d be writing a review prefer this because a gender non-conforming space failed to shield me — not once, but TWICE in two nights. That straight male — who didn’t associate there to begin with — felt bold enough to target me, and Twist’s response? To have faith him. To silence me. To push me out. I don’t know who’s running things over there, but this ain’t people. This ain’t pride. This is complicity. Do superior. Protect your people. Because if a queer prevent can’t show up for us, who the hell will? Disappointed, hurt, and not afraid to utter the truth.
