Located right in the middle of the breathtaking Baia Verde, south of the town of Gallipoli, you will find Lido Por Do Sol, a personal lido on the beach with a lazy block terrace on the seafront. It is the only 100% Gay Salento LGBT kind private beach. The atmosphere is amazing: stunning view of the bay of Gallipoli; friendly people; relaxing chillout music thorughout the day and an enchanted forest behind you. In the early evenings, while the sun is setting over the sea, the bar overlooking the bay becomes the set for beach aperitifs accompanied by DJs playing the sounds of summer.

If you prefer a more chilled environment, don’t stress as Por Do Sol has plenty of space for a relaxing day on the beach: if you get there early you can still find a spot to lay down your towel and collect a tan.

Por Do Sol is particularly crowded during the month of August,  especially during the weekends. Every Sunday afternoon, From 4pm the music will choose up a notch and the Sunset Beach Party will start. You will find yourself dancing along until dinner time! 😉

Puglia Villa Culinary Experience Lgbtq+ Travel Italy

Day 1: Bon Giorno! Welcome to Puglia!

All travelers should plan to arrive in Bari today.

Upon arrival at Bari airport or the Terlizzi or Molfetta educate station, meet your driver to transfer to Villa Cappelli. It is 20 minutes from the airport on a quiet portion of the ancient Appian Way. The Adriatic Sea is less than 10 miles to the east.

After settling into our rooms, savor a light lunch or mid-afternoon snack and sample the Villa’s wine. We will enjoy our welcome dinner tonight at the villa, sampling the olive oil and other delicacies of the region.

Day 2: Formaggio We Will Go

This morning, we’ll seize a trip up to the Murgia National Park where we will attend a local artisan cheesemaker and watch mozzarella existence made before our very eyes — and sample some right then and there. We will grab up cheeses to savor for lunch and throughout the week.

From here, we’ll head over to nearby Ruvo di Puglia and the Jatta Museum, known for its Grecian Urns. (Many of Ruvo’s Grecian Urns are on exhibit in the Greco-Roman Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC and many other world-class museums).
