There are lots of LGBTQI+ organisations that are based within Greater Manchester, as well as a lot of activities and resources.

Coming Out Stories

  • Presented by Emma Goswell, Coming Out Stories is a locally-based podcast that will get you to one the most important moments in many people’s lives. It will perch you on sofas in suburban sitting rooms, stand you in front of officials' desks, put you at the centre of a crowd in a noisy classroom, everywhere where these conversations have happened.
  • Everyone can recognise the innate human wish to love and be loved, and that’s what these stories are about.

  • LGBT Foundation provide a wide range of support to womxn loving womxn, gay, bisexual and transgender people, including a range of support groups; counselling; a befriending scheme; a sexual health programme, a substance-misuse project, and many more.

    Oasis Hub Media City UK  - Rainbow group
    Friday afternoon's 
    For children and young people who attend the academy next door on the last 30 mins on a Friday any year welcome. They discuss things akin to LGBTQ+ history and current affairs, peer help and more. A great guarded space for the juvenile people.

    Salford Pride new peer-to-peer support group 
    Salford Pride contain teamed up with @talkaboutitmate to launch peer to peer support group sessions every week in February for the LGBTQ+ society here in Salford.

    Rainbow Noir
