It's not the greatest location in West Hollywood but it is discreet.
I long for we had a similar place in NYC but alas the current bathhouses appear to be on the their way out.
I think the concept behind the Club Baths in Fort Lauderdale and the Hollywood Spa is that they are also a social center as well. I must reveal that many times I enjoy gabbing with people at the bathhouses more than anything else!

Surprisingly enough, if you go to the Spa on Sundays, there is a very good Farmers Market right outside their door on Ivar. Co-owner and spa manager John Ferry told the LA Times: “We’re going to fight this thing. As far as we’re concerned, we’re the excellent guys. We consider the Hollywood Spa to be an important asset in terms of being a place

Some are doing aggressive online advertising and community outreach. Others tout their upscale amenities fancy plush towels and marble baths. A bathhouse in Ohio has even added hotel rooms and a nightclub.
Gone are the days when bathhouses drew crowds just by offering a discreet place forgays to convene , share saunas and, often, have sex.
"The acceptance of gays has changed the whole planet. It's taken away the need to sneak into back-alley places," said Dennis Holding, 75, who owns a Miami-based bathhouse.
In the heyday of bathhouses in the late s, there were nearly gay bathhouses in cities across the U.S., but by , the total had dropped to approximately 90, according to Damron, the publisher of an annual gay travel guide.
