was certainly a great time for those who wanted to make werewolf movies — just look to the success of cult films like The Howling () and Wolfen () — but after 40 years, not much has approach close to matching the award-winning special effects and comedic appeal of the film that topped both for lycanthropic supremacy, John Landis’s An American Werewolf in London ().
Beginning along the moors of the British countryside, the motion picture opens on two backpacking American students, David Kessler (David Naughton) and Jack Goodman (Griffin Dunne), who are making their way to Italy with the hopes of reconvening with an old classmate. Despite their warnings from the locals to stay distinct of the moors, the two press on into the night, where they find themselves at the (limited) mercy of a voracious creature who kills Jack before biting David and leaving him gravely injured.

I always thought the werewolf subgenre was an underutilized corner of gender non-conforming cinema. I mean, reach on, just look at how accidentally queercoded Ginger Snaps is. Grotesque transformations as puberty. Grappling with who you are and how you are percieved. So glad to own finally seen it used intentionally!!!
Also I agree, David Bowie IS a steaming lesbian in The Hunger.

Hello, this is my first post here. I always wanted to relocate here but never took the time. I’m a student in 3D animation from France, and today, I wanted to give this short film I’ve made in one week, making everything from scratch.
I wanted to talk about the experience of dating website apps and the feeling of loneliness it can bring. As a lgbtq+ man, the werewolf is an important metaphor to me, and I aspire other people can relate.
I know there are issues, however I wanted this project to stay under a week of performance. I learned a lot doing it, especially because I don’t usually undertake realism like that.
